Here are a few short clips of my car with the JWT TT kit and SVRTechnologeis 3" dual exhaust. The first vid is a fly by taken with a digital camera. Second is from inside the car with a regular video camera. Keep in mind, I have no interior or sound deadener in my Z so the in-car is a lot louder than it would be in an un-molested Z . Also, I hate doing stupid stunts on the street and I made sure that there was nobody around that could pose any danger when shooting the vids, so please don't b**ch at me for these vids. The car...

 

sounds awesome! almost like a beefed up stock exhaust. i like it

 

On a scale of 1-10 on the loudness scale..where 2 is stock exhaust, 10 is topspeed w/ test pipes on an NA car...how loud is this? Very subjective... iknow

 

6 or 7 Maybe???? I have never heard Topspeed w/test pipes so I don't know. I also took out my interior and sound deadening prior to installing the exhaust and I have never heard it in person from outside the car really.

 

Topspeed exhaust with test pipe can hurt the ears if your not careful :-D. i think i can live w/ 6 or 7... I'm getting the 2.5' for NA setup sometime soon... scotts getting on it for me lol.

 

I listend to it more closely..its pretty quiet. Sounds like most of the higher pitched sounds are canceld out by the X pipe. Even inside the car, i can only hear bassy sounds and engine.

 

Yeah the exhaust really doesn't get high pitched at all, which I love. The turbos quiet it down a little as well. May be louder N/A.

 

It would if i were 3', but thats uncessary.. 2.25 is the sweet spot for TD NA.. 2.5 made me good power w/ APS..260 (good enough :-D ).. Im gonna redyno this for scott and see if i make any power over APS. If it does, hoo rah for him, since this exhaust is 2.5' also, w/ test pipes also...proving his theory that an X pipe will help.
I can tell since you have so much more peak torque than HP than the exhaust does its job of putting massive torque into the midrange while keeping the max range at the same-ish.. old nascar trick.

 

Yeah definately stay with 2.5" when N/A. I still think my Injen SES/Kinetix HFC combo when I was N/A was louder though.

 

Your car is pretty damn quiet. The flyby was quieett..which is good...bassy sounds only YOU can hear, not..the popos

No problem . I will get some real good sound clips in a few weeks. My car is on jack stands right now while custom springs are being made, then once its on the ground I want to take my suction cup mount and mount the camera on the rear bumper pointing at the exhaust and drive around a bit.

 

i never get to hear my car from the outside either, hahhaa. the first vid is nothing but porsche, the second, V-8, lol.

 

the turbos effect the tone and loudness of the exhaust quite a lot. your car sounds great!

 

that car is amazing. i wish i could have ridden in it on the track.

sorry the vids arent much better, my damn camcorder battery died after the incar vids, the driveby was done on my little digital camera.

Sounds awesome... I'm close to buying the 2.5" version for N/A. Have you had a chance to get any more sound/video clips yet? Hearing a few more would be awesome in helping me pull the trigger...

 

Unfortunately I have not shot any video since then. The battery for my video camera will not hold a charge and I haven't gotten around to getting a new one yet.
