btw...my friend said we could probably use his dyno tomorrow...we'll see what happens with that
gprro1: i might someday...but the whole point of this was because i loved the sound so much.
i almost forgot...the price of the job was a total of $300
The tips were about $60 shipped, 1-1/2 hours of labor was about $130, and the piping, flange, hardware, etc was the rest. for $300 it was a worthy investment in my opinion. I've spent a total of $400 on this car between the exhaust and popcharger and it sounds like god.
ill let you guys know about the dyno situation

So the muffler does not help with back pressure? If I get my borla off it would just be a simple extension pipe with tips on the ends since it is already split up so I shouldnt lose any tq either? I was just thinking w/o the muffler backpressure would be gone and with it some tq.
I also have test pipes so I am missing some backpressure as is!

If one state finds a way to shut people like you up, others will follow their example and try and enact the same type of legislation. A few states already ban aftermarket exhaust ,regardless of sound, and more are considering it.
On the bumper issue, the end is aimed up into the rear and the exhaust stays hot long after it leaves the pipe, you would be surprised how well it will heat things up back there. But, ok, you don't really drive it and you haven't had real tips made yet, good luck with that.

I don't care how much noise anyone makes, its what legislators care about and currently car exhaust noise is in the cross hairs across the country.
Here are examples of lawmakers toying with exhaust noise regulation

haha...i can do that I guess...it would be pretty weak though. it might be funny if i tripped running to the car or back to the camera.
I'll get someone to do this for me...it'll take about 20 minutes of their time...max.

The video clips sound great. The stock sound (but a little louder) is exactly what I'd like, as well. I've learned from many years experience that I need to hear it in person, though, as sound clips just don't represent exhausts properly. Too bad you live on the opposite coast from me!
