try resetting your ECU, disconnect negative battery terminal overnight and pump the brakes a few times before you connect it.

Mine idles closer to 500 RPM after JWT install. It is a steady idle which is probably a good sign. I disconnected the battery for a half hour or so while I did the install, but I did not pump the brakes.

What does pumping the brakes do? Any specific number of times I should pump the brakes?

It's just to make sure any remaining voltage or whatever gets drained. If the ECU is only disconnected for a few minutes up to a couple of hours, it does not reset because it can store a charge for that period of time.

I think hitting the brakes helps drain the capacitors...that's all

A 1k idle should make for smoother operation and easier starts. I'd thank the mod faeries.

Yes still idles the same but to me it seems the car does pull harder after the reset. Before it felt really sluggish.

With air conditioning on, it idles higher. With AC off it should be about 650 if no one changed it...

Not trying to jack the thread but I'm in need of help. I just got done installing mine and now have a broken bolt where you mount the bracket to hold the popcharger still, so now the only way i can get it out is by drilling the bolt out. But was I supposed you use the factory air box bolt or a different one? Because in the instructions it looks like they use a completely different bolt.

Thanks
