Default Install thread (yes I posted in regional as well)

Wondering who around socal would help me install my headers and HFC's one of these days. I need an exhaust shop to do the rear for me anyways, but I figured if I installed the headers/hfc's myself I'd save some money on labor.

I know headers are a B@#$h to install, but I'm brave/stupid enough to try dammit.

GL with the headers.
The HFC will just take some under-car gymnastics to get all the bolts broken.

You might want to be prepared to do some cutting. We had to cut a bolt off driver's side heatshield and one on the pass side manifold..

For my taste, it was tight enough just to swap out the cats. I would not bother with the headers, that's just me though... I'm not exactly the biggest gear head in the world.

I would not attempt swapping your headers on jackstands in the garage. I mean if your a certified mechanic go for it, but if your a weekend rebel like the majority of the modders than i wouldn't attempt it. Saying they are a B!tch to install is describing it nicely.

same here. I'm on day 2 and about 5 hours into it and almost done. I would be glad to pay someone $400 next time.

I love threads like this because it helps me map out what I'll need to pay someone to get certain mods done...and which ones I can bloody my own knuckles with.

Headers tend to be hit or miss. Some shops charge a good price, some don't.
