Here are some clips of my car w/ CX Racing exhaust and a B-line motorsports CAI. I also have strup headers, random tech. HFCs, AAM spacer, MREV2, and a TS reflash. The CX Racing exhaust has been modified by removing the resonators and replacing them w/ the Magnaflow x-pipe muffler.

I had a few people PM me and say that I needed a new exhaust video due to letting off at the camera before. I may get another 1 as I wasn't pleased with the location this time. People are working late now and some were getting off, so I couldn't go WOT. Still, you can hear it better this time. I need to find a safe and secluded place where I have room to run. I could have probably made it happen here but there was a lot of debris in the more open section, so F that.

I got the KCR exhaust. Identical to the X02, but many have said a little better quality and slightly more $$ i paid $499.00 for mine.

 

i just bought 2006 nissan 350z coupe. want to install cheap exhaust. i found one i like...x02 exhaust (HKS hi-power knockoff) link to youtube is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5bjWHUB_ygM

but a forum i went to said they dont make it anymore but it can be found under the following names..They keep changing names depending on the distributor. THeres been X02, KCR, M2, etc.

There is a million and 1 names its been sold under, 99% sure its made by the same chinese factory. Main 2 complaints about the exhaust is fitment and drone.

Drone is easily fixed with the Magnaflow X pipe / muffler Part number is 14386.

Fitment is not so easy to fix but a good exhaust fabricator can make it work.

Main point is expect to spend at least another $200 on top of the exhaust putting in the magnaflow and shop time to make it sound / fit descent.

Understand i had a cheapo exhaust on my 07 Z for about 6 months and it drove me crazy, raspy and actually made me drive slower b/c it was so loud.

Got a higher quality system a week ago (stillen true duals) and it sounds wonderful, a little quite but a set of test pipes will fix that.

$360 shipped. They all sound similarly the same. I've bought these exhaust to use the piping for custom setups. I just swap all the resonators out for Magnaflow mufflers. One X pipe and two 14" resonators.

 

So whats the difference from the $400 + one and the $300 dollar one?
better piping quality? better tips?

From what we can tell there's no specification difference (like vehicle application and design). But the actual quality we cannot compare.

anyone know where to get gaskets for the x02? specifically the one that sits between the y-pipe and mid-pipe. can't seem to find a replacement any where.

 

Just take it to napa, they can measure and look it up.

 

went to them over the weekend and they stated that they did not have any thing that would work for it. they did however have material to make my own but wanted to test my options before doing that.

 

The ones I bought from them were for a 3000gt and fit my knockoff perfect. I will try and get the part number tonight after work.

Regarding the first link you posted, I just found the same one on eBay. Looks very nice. Wondering if anyone here has ordered that particular exhaust from that vendor, how was the fitment, sound, welds, etc?
