Default anyone with Borla Exhaust Please read

hello

Anyone out there with dual Borla exhaust have a hishing sound coming from under the car? It's like pshhhh.....pshhhh..... don't know if I described it correctly. It sounds like air leaking out. Just like when you letting air out of your tires. Thank you.

Check your clamps and make sure they are tight, it could be exhaust leaking from a crack if the clamps are tight enough. If that doesn't fix it, check the piping to make sure none of it was damaged.

Do you have a CAI? Mine makes that noise but only when i step on the Gas. On my car, it is the Sound of more air being sucked in to the Engine Becase it breathes better now, and it is alot louder than it was with the Stock exhaust

Thanks guys.

It's not the CAI and it's not exhaust leak. It's the resonator sound. This is during parking without hitting on the gas.

had the same problem. Its the clamps. My car was making hissing sounds underneath and i realized the shop didnt tighten the part where it connects to the carb enough. Got that fixed though. Now now hissing sound except from my cai.

I had exactly same problem...

It was the H pipe connection... there was leaking.

go to your intaller and check for leak and weld it..

that will solve the problem.

I noticed when I put mine on and had it all loose fit that the crossover pipe had a small slice that was still exposed and could be a potential problem (leak) when tightened as it was so when I started tighting everything down I pulled both pipes closer togeather (as close as possible) so that small slit in the H pipe would not be exposed and let air leak out.

I have had mine for quite a while now and no leaks.

But i got the same hissing sound with the OEM exhaust too. So that mean the OEM exhaust was leaking when i got the car? What is the effect of an Exhaust leaking? If the exhaust is leaking, shouldn't the sound will be constant instead of hissing and stop then hissing? Thanks.
