bang for the buck?

https://my350z.com/forum/engine/345425-powerlab-3-8-billet-spacer.html <- CNC milled billet aluminum, allows for factory strut bar and engine cover on both Z/G35 platforms, pre-sealed gasket, better material and price than MD.

What i mean is HP/TQ. I hear from fellow 350z owners that im better off spending 200 bucks on a spacer than getting the kinetics V+ for around 300. In other words, they THINK they give around the same HP/TQ but ill just be saving myself a few bucks if i go with the spacer. Anywho, what do you guys think?

Check the Sport Z magazine Plenum vs Plenum Spacer Shoot Out. The choice is pretty clear.

old... and since, aam and pl have come out with spacers... there is no rocket technology here, simply as i said, as far as gains they are all comparable, so when you look at price with top quality material, the choice is ovbious i agree

Welcome to 2005. The PowerLab spacer wasn't released back then. I'm confident the PowerLab spacer would win a current shootout based on superior quality materials and better price point.

Why pay more for a part that is flow jetted from non-billet material (Motordyne) than a spacer that is CNC machined out of aluminum billet (PowerLab)?

It's obvious...

"Bang for the Buck" = PowerLab > Motordyne

Edit: i will be very happy to hear BIG diff between CNC machined out and non-billet material.

so because it hasnt cracked youd take the lower quality material? so if you made one out of wood and it never cause problems woudl you use it?

that made one out of wood already gave to 350z owners.

So you would pay more than you should for cheaper materials?

+ Intense Motorsports (who has been selling the PowerLab spacer) is the #1 rated vendor on this site, hands down.

This type of thread has been re-hashed over and over again for the past several years. Please use the search function.

I personally would go for (again and again) the motordyne products, as they have had more independent testing and independent dyno results done than any other products that are available, by far. The quality of the MD products will definitely exceed the life of the car, IMO.
