Default Airscope for oem airbox

so what do you guys think of this airscope for the ´03 -´06 Z?

it´s suppose to be mounted right infront of the air inlet of the stock airbox.
the hole scope will work with the oem bumper as well.no cutting needed.
i could figure out a group buy for this if we could gather some people together.

I made a similar but better looking ducting tube for 4 bucks in about 5 minutes and weighs probably about 2 ounces max.

Any post made containing information on a Group Buy being handled by a company who is not a paying advertiser of this site will be locked or deleted. Any company attempting to set up or promote a Group Buy without being a sponsoring vendor is subject to banishment. .

BTW, make that a DOUBLE FAIL for each of you. "Group buy" and "special discount," huh?

I'm taking some pics this weekend of all the crap I've done to my car.

Just go to any Napa Auto parts and ask them for 2" heat exchanger/pre heater tubing. If he gets it right he should hand you a box with a 2" dia. aluminium tubing that is fully compressed to about 10" long or so. It fully extends to about 1.5- 2 feet. It weights almost nothing but is plenty sturdy for this use.

All you need to to is get a scrap piece of plastic and cut out a bracket to use to attach the hose to the metal bumper behind the factory grill. Since it weighs almost nothing, I just used red 3M tape. Takes about 2 minutes to install and no need to remove any bodywork. I spray painted the barely visable part behind the grill flat black, inside and out so it's invisable behind the grill now. I left the part going to the filter opening/hole in radiator support the natural aluminium finish.

Would be nice if I can find 3" dia. tubing but does not look like it would fit through the radiator hole/opening anyway, well maybe if you take off the trim piece.

By the way this 2" tubing will fit on the back of a Titek or similar intake duct as well.

I bought a non carbon fiber intake duct and decided I didn't want to hack up my bumper after all, so I'm going to grind away all the lip/flashing?? of the duct and make up a new bracket and mount the duct (which wont look like a duct anymore) behind the grill so it can gather a bit more air.

Unless I get lazy and say fug it..

You can scroll down to my post on this thread and there is a make shift drawing I did though i don't know if it makes sense. Also more details on what I'm talking about.

For $250, I want to see some gains from this. Please post some independent dyno results.
