Default 2007 350Z owner needs help

Hello all - I know this is a repetitive question and there are probably 2,378 answers to my question on this forum but I 1.) am in need of help. 2.) I'm a CPA so this I have about 15 mintues of free time a day this time of year so I can't appropriately search the forum and 3.) I Love my 2007 350Z. Well she just passed the 30,000 K marker and is in dyer need of new air filters. I called to order a set of K & N filters but at $60 a pop at autozone I fitured if I wanted to put in a new intake that $120 could sig. offset the price. So my question is........

Stick with the stock air box and K & N filters or upgrade.

If upgrade to which and where should I order from....

I don't expect any hp gains but I want to know what is best for my car. Feel, sound, and MPG matter. Sorry again for the repetive post and if it was any other time of the year I would spen a few hours searching the forum but unfortunaletly that isn't an option right now. I appreciate all the help!!!!

sticky thread just above yours

Q. What's the best intake to buy?
A. There is no "best" intake. They all offer features and advantages and all have disadvantages. Some have small proven gains (+5hp), others have questionable gains (+20). Sorry but you have to do the research yourself and decide what meets your budget & expectations. Some of the more popular ones are the Jim Wolf Tech. PopCharger; NISMO CAI, Injen CAI, AEM CAI, K&N Typhoon CAI. A cheap alternative is a high flow air filter like the K&N filter.

get injen or still long tube intakes. They make power and sound rather nice. Bad news it $500. If your not modding the Z just get the k&n filters as they will do just fine.

What a coincidence! I am also a CPA and have only 15 minutes to reply to all these posts. Sorry.

Are you sure they need replacing? Read this test done by the Oak Ridge National Lab:

http://www.fueleconomy.gov/Feg/pdfs/...02_26_2009.pdf

The original filters is still doing just fine in my 2000 Silverado with 50K miles and my '03 Accord with 40K miles. I'll probably never change them. The '90 Ford truck I sold in '04 with over 100K miles on it still had the original air filter.

I would just stick with the stock boxes and K&N drop in's. Seeing that you only have 15 minutes to spare a day, you would never have enough time to install the Injen's.

Or stock airbox and dirty OEM filters. They will STILL filter better then the K&Ns AND you don't have to clean/oil them AND they are cheaper.
