Advanced Resonance Tuning (ART pipes)
Yes Trendkill, i will help you out here, i'm not sure why so many people feel the need to post 'use the search'
They're on the first page of this here thread.

Not JUST a discussion..
All I typed in was Art pipes in the search and it took me all but 1min to find out a question that has been asked way too many times..
Good luck mang...
I tried to leave this alone but just can't I'd appreciate insight into how Tony sending you a new set and return label leaves him in the wrong when you kept his pipes?
I have a set of V2s that cracked WHEN I BOTTOMED THEM. I paid 35.00 having them welded, good as new and all well.

I have stock cats with an HKS replica CB and a motordyne xpipe (decreased drone and removed rasp completely, but also made the exhaust much more quiet). Would you recommend these ART pipes to increase how deep the exhaust is? I also want to increase volume without making my exhaust raspy. Let me know!

ART pipes handle their own rasp control, but you may experience some rasp if the rest of the exhaust has any lips between the sections.
ART's will give some bass and some volume increase, but not too much. Most importantly, they will increase power and torque, even in the low revs.

Question about the VQ35HR throwing CEL. So I understand the HR is more likely to throw a CEL. And after reading the threads & posts, I believe I read somewhere that the CEL will affect mpg? So if I simply get tuned (which I am going to do this summer after installing the ART pipes), and I know UpRev Osiris can disable the CEL, does that fix the issues? Passing emissions in TX should be pretty easy, but I'm concerned about the mpg drop that some people have stated
CELs are not thrown for the cats with ART pipes, they have anti foulers installed for this reason.
The people reporting MPG drops have been throwing CELs for lean codes on one bank, it doesn't even appear to be that common. I showed a very marginal increase in my daily driven MPG and i cannot repro the lean bank code.
As for tuning, you can leave them in the anti-foulers, or do what some others have done, and have a standard bung welded in almost anywhere on the ART pipe and use Osiris to disable the cat CEL code. Another user has just unplugged their rear O2 sensors to fix their lean bank code.

do you sell gaskets for the header/art flange? I just used the rtv black silicone that was included, is that enough?
Also, I currently dont have the o2 sensors installed on the art pipes, so the bung is wide open, I will get them installed soon. However, right now, the car sounds like a super loud bumble bee. I can't believe that plugging that hole is going to quiet it down to almost stock level. Is this correct? Just amazed that it can be this loud just because that little hole is open. Unless I have an exhaust leak, which is why I am asking, thanks

I lost my support bracket when I took off my stock cats a while ago. Do you think the v2 art pipes will crack if I don't have that? I know you added the braket mounts but will it be okay without it? Or are they sure to crack...
