You might find more driving, and i mean normal driving, will let you feel the results a little more.

Did you reset your ECU?

The hissing, assuming you've checked for leaks, will die down as they carbon up.

The problem with overall power increases, is that they're harder to feel as the gains are all over the board. With something that only gains in the upper RPM, it's really easy to feel the change.

Get the tune, no one has been disappointed with the way the car feels afterwards, ignore the dyno queen number chasers, that seems to be what people are disappointed with for some reason.

I felt gains with my ART pipes, but the pull all round was a nice improvement. When you've heard what normal TP's sound like or HFC's, you'll appreciate the ART pipes more.

^^I can't say enough good things about the sound, I used to run tp and hated the rasp. Thanks for the advice, i might have to recheck my bolts for leaks. Maybe a tune in the future

you should know NA mods do not add a lot of hp to begin with. You just spent a lot of money ($500) on a part that could have been bought for $150 (regular test pipes) and you would have had plenty of money for a tune.

^^Yes I know na mods don't do much, I have been on these forums for quite some time. How much are tunes then? Based on your figures, they are around 300?

600+. But worth it. My car only picked up a peak of like 10-15whp but my car felt like a different monster with CIN and uprev. I don't regret it one bit

Don't forget, it's the increase below the peak power, the lower down improvements.

Depends on torque curve. My Chevy Cobalt turbo had 350 peak torque down low and only 290 HP.
Agree that for a Z, it's not likely given the typical curve. Maybe he has a *peaky* curve?

It depends where you live tbh. The engine bay gets pretty hot as is, and during the summer, even hotter in some cases. Short ram intakes basically just suck that hot air in the engine bay, making it even less efficient than if you were just running stock intakes. Point is, cold air is more beneficial at a performance stand point, and CAI's are more recommended. If you are comparing short ram vs stock, you may find the stock to be a better performer during the summer months (depending on where you live). If you are debating on it at a price standpoint, I would say probably isn't worth the $ as the stock HR intakes are already pretty efficient as is. You'd be paying more for the sound than actual benefits (short ram). And again, you would have to get tuned each time you swap, due to air flow differences, for proper results. Personally, I just stuck with the stock HR intakes. I saw no real point in spending $250-500 for dual intakes, as optimized as the stock HR filters are, plus it is easier to just swap the oem filters or clean the K&N drop-ins.

I havn't tested the HR intakes. So there is no way I can say if they are good or not. Sorry I couldn't be of more help here.

Thank you for posting this! I've been looking for something like this for awhile. The RTV is the only thing I don't like about the ART pipes, and now it looks like it's no longer necessary.

Based off Z1's description, seems like it's not uncommon on a lot of aftermarket TP's/HFC's.

Good find.

It may be wrong but it feels so right lol, i dont Know my dyno sheet is in the tuning thread i think my car being an automatic may explain the weird torque curve. I thought the art pipes where supposed to give greater torque gains then h.p ?
