Yes, definitely give them a call, you'll get through.

I have a Utec that I rescued from a bad flash by the old owner. I have a set of test pipes to install on the 05 DE, I have read several tuning threads but I am still not sure if I can run just res test pipes without a tune without running dangerously lean?

If I need to tune I will wait off till I can afford the other mods. Thanks for the time

after i put on art pipes i was at 14.4 afr during the dyno pull. after tuning it was at 12.6. its not dangerously lean, but not optimal either.

It will depend on a bunch of things, you're perfectly safe to fit them, just be wary of going on full throttle (less throttle is fine as the AF ratio will be pretty close with the wide bands)

New 350z Owner! I have researched these ART pipes on and have found a little info but not a great amount for my application. I have an 07 HR, everything stock except KN drop ins. I am more interested in these pipes for sound improvement than performance improvement (although a bonus). I would like to eventually get the MD Shockwave exhaust system when $ permits. Any suggestions running with ART pipes and stock everything else? Would the sound/performance improvement be worthwhile without a tune? (forgive this 1st poster if he has inflicted undue burden due to ignorance).

I have art pipes on my stock exhaust(G35)...it makes it a tad bit louder and theres obvious rasp after 3k RPM. There is a little more low end power though. I would honestly suggest having an aftermarket exhaust before getting the art pipes. Possibly something with at least 2.5" piping at least.

I see. I may just have to save and buy the Shockwave first. I didn't know if maybe the ART pipes could be an "appetizer' before I get the exhaust.

if i were you i would invest in them, i have them on my 08 HR with invidia exhaust and takeda intakes.... throaty but not obnoxiously loud.... butt dyno says there is a differnce. my suggestion is to do all the mods you want before tuning, i changed intakes, went from HFC to ART pipes, and after doing that i dyno'd 10 hp less than when i tuned. now that i have swapped all that i am about to pull the trigger on the TDX2, luckily the guy that tuned me is going to retune for 200. dont waist the money on tuning if you think you are going to change things later on. btw, get what you can afford.... if you have the 1600 for exhaust get that first, if not get the ART pipes. last when i looked into the exhaust it was a 45-60 day turn time

If you need a slight change in note, get the ART pipes now, if you need a larger one, get the TDX2 first and add ART later, such sweet sweet note

So very true. But isn't that the essence of Z cars?

So excited, just bought the ART pipes and the TDX2 off a user on here. Hopefully have them arrive in a few days and get them installed and tuned in.
I've got an 07 HR with Nismo intakes. I have heard nothing but great things about this exhaust system.

I'm so stoked to get it all put on, just waiting on gaskets from Motordyne to come in, should be here the 30th. So hopefully I'll be able to install next weekend!!
