Default 3inch piping on stock exhaust?

Hey guys,

Sorry if this sounds rice, im very curious if anyone has done this, couldnt find any info on it. Has anyone ran test pipes, after market y pipe, 3 inch piping to stock muffler? Obviously there needs to be some work done for the 3 inch piping to fit the stock muffler, but i got the idea after seeing the nismo. Im on tp, aam 3 inch y, to stock mid and muffler. I kinda want to experiment and get custom piping done to see how it will sound. Ive gone through a few exhausts, and just want to try something different. The welding/fabricating job is pretty cheap, so figure its worth a try. Thanks

I wouldnt mind getting a nismo or tanabe AFTER I try this out. This is just something that intrigued me. It shouldnt be too expensive to make a 3 inch midpipe/part of the piping that comes out of the muffler. Way cheaper than a 600 dollar nismo muffler. Not being cheap here, just curious. If no one has done it, which is hard to believe seeing how some people have punched holes in their muffler, gutted it, and purposely added spacers between their gaskets to make their exhaust sound louder, I will try it out.

Nismo uses a different baffle muffler that can handle the higher exhaust flow to eliminate more rasp.

The setup you want will yield TONS and TONS of rasp.
