Today my car was dyno' Stock with just INJEN COLD AIR intakes and hoping by the end of the week i should have these headers installed...
The reason I'm asking is that in the g35driver thread, the guy that was testing the PPE headers noted that they were definitely different than the ones for the 370z. Visually, the location of the stepping was different. There was also a huge loss of power down low (30+ ft-lbs) which is as of yet, unexplained.

Fitting and be a correct design are 2 totally different things

I dont know anything about these but nevertheless, Long tube doesn't mean better - just means long tube.
True, but the difference between equal length and unequal is less between shorty and long tubes. I will never put a set of shorty headers on my car. Long tubes are better power producers (over a large rpm range) compared to shorty headers.

The reason DEs don't make power from headers?
Cams
The headers made are shorty headers, not long tubes (better scavenging, more peak/overall power)

Yeah my headers took a little longer when i ordered it to fix the stepping so we would have to wait and see hopefully make more gain. lol

This has been a long time coming. You said the car is going to be dyno'd before with the stock exhaust then after with the headers. Are you going to be getting it tuned as well? All this is happening today? I'm waiting impatiently.

yeah sorry for the hold up been really busy with work and school. so i went to the shop where i was going to install the headers and one of my buddies wasnt done fabricating some work so he had to use the lift...

i posted a little copy of the before dyno pulls and it was pushing 276 HP stock with just Injen Cold Air Intakes. my goal now is to try to get around to it by the end of the week.. Sorry man but will post a few pics of the fitment and the way it sits with the header and a before and after vid clip.. not going all out in making a nice vid since i dont time for that...

Those look identical to mine. I have to get my dyno redone found out my lowend issue was my floormat under my pedal. I had a dyno done last week locally and there were no lowend losses compared to before headers and cams on the same dyno.

I'm going back to the original dyno next week that showed the losses to be sure.

on the G coupes there is a retaining ring that holds the floor mat place. Mine is missing so it allowed the mat to slide under the pedal preventing the correct voltage to go WOT fully.

Here are dynos from 3 differents shops RT and CIN tried to tune out my loss of power, but the floor was slid under the pedal.

The Hill's dyno done last week is with the floormat removed. The blue line is before I added PPE headers/ JWT S1 cams on their dyno.

I had momentum shorty headers/ ART pipes before.

Here is the original same day before and after dyno and pics to compare mine to 512 Z's headers.

same day before and after with headers. I'm going to RT next week to make sure my issue is resolved. Seems that way from the Hill's dyno.

no I didn't want to risk it due to my tune possibly now being off. I will retune at RT next week if my lowend issue is solved hopefully.

Here is my current nitrous dyno comparing N/A, Zex nozzle and NX nozzle.

Numbers should be good on a HR compared to my DE. Hopefully 512 Z can get them installed today according to his last post.
