Also, I can't use uprev with my ecu so I need a hardware fix that will let me run the ls2 TB with an 03 maxima ecu...even with a full standalone it will throw a code...

SG Motorsports couldn't get it to work correctly. That is the only 3.5DE I know of having an LS2 TB attached and semi 'working'.

Do you have a link of how to use the LS2 TB with UpRev on a 3.5DE ecu? It is amazing how incompatible Nissan made the different ECUs even different 3.5 ECUs which should basically be all the same...

If your talking about the LS2 throttle bodies (PGM) they were made by two gearheads like us. They have never said how they modified the LS2 its their secret I guess. I talk to one of those gearheads all the time and they will not say how the did it! But like I said its all in the voltage!
On the SG what code was it throwing? I going to guess low voltage.
I will be getting into the Z's throttle body wiring sunday.

Who made the adapter plate? I would like one that would allow me to bolt on a 09 maxima throttle body to the stock G35 manifold. The 09 maxima uses the same bolt spacing as the titan and has a 80mm throttle body.

We are making the spacer plates

It would throw a code every time the engine was started as it detected a throttle fault, and the code would have to be cleared to take the DBW out of failsafe mode. No idea what the actual code was unfortunately I guess we could ask them. Having to clear a code every time I started my car is just not an option as mine is my DD again.

90mm LS2 pinouts are as follows....

PIN ID LS2 90mm
A.) ACT2
B.) ACT1
C.) +5v TPS Reference
D.) TP1 Signal 0-5v
E.) Common Ground
F.) TP2 Signal 5-0v

stolen from corvetteforum.com

Let me go find the 350z an 02-03 maxima pin outs.

I read that if you have Osirus you can flash the ecu to ignore the throttle code, that is what people do when they want to use a cable driven throttle body. Not sure if this is true. And I know it doesn't help me with my maxima ECU as we can't use Osirus(fwiw almost nothing works with our damn bastard of an ecu)

I am in 100% agreeance it is all in the Voltages...

All of the resistance and voltage values are easy to find in the FSMs. I just looked both up. I guess the real question is what does the GM unit produce?

All i need is the 350z pin outs! I have the LS7 working great on my titan, so does nicks titan. We are working on the 350z wiring now

02 maxima wiring is the same as G35\Z at the throttle body

so...

PIN ID LS2 90mm..............................................02-03max/g35/Z Stock Throttle body
A.) ACT2......................................................Br own Motor 2
B.) ACT1......................................................Ye llow Motor 1
C.) +5v TPS Reference....................................Red Input
D.) TP1 Signal 0-5v........................................White Output 1
E.) Common Ground........................................Black Common Ground
F.) TP2 Signal 5-0v........................................Blue Output 2

is this right? I guess i could go get my trusted multimeter...

If the ECU just saw a constant voltage what would happen? Assuming you are running a full stand alone...couldn't you just fool the ecu to thinking it is at idle?

Thanks for the pin out info, this is going to kick this project into high gear.

Would love an update! Or to hear what problems you are running into.

I am out of town working. Kind of hard to drive 5hours aday work 10hrs and work on the Z! Should be home in about 2 weeks.

Rome wasnt built in a day. Just hang tight guys.
the LS7 was just dynoed on the titan, and yielded 16.5rwhp. So i'll be happy with 8-10rwph if we can get it working correct on the Z!

To be honest, don't really know the mm diameter.
Maybe,3mm over stock?
It is visually larger than the OEM T body.
In addition, inner surfaces and all parts of the veturi
are highly polished to almost a gloss.
The performance gain is excellent.

Dyno proven?

What does it entail for neccesary parts etc?

The 09 Maxima TB at 75MMM is a much better option cost wise.

That only applies if you use magic air from Mount Fuji.
A handful of us have been running bored throttlebodies from Proflow and 350Evo with really next to nothing for gains.

That's not to say that there are NO gains to be seen from this. I still feel the upper manifold+throttlebody+MAF combo can make some nice gains just not through non-revup cams.

There is no single factor that prevents these cars from making more power beyond boltons. I feel it's multifactorial and we won't see crazy numbers anytime soon until someone (besides SG) addresses ALL the problems.

I've been wanting to try out a spare LS2 throttlebody from my TrailSS just didn't have the motivation...
