id buy this in a heartbeat if i wasnt worried about destroying it with a nitrous backfire or it not holding up to boost (when i add that in the future). how about the cjm piece as an alternative? it has an ls2 tb mount and has undergone extensive r&d...

If you're going to spend $2k+ on intake mods, you might as well just go ITB.

the 2k9 TB works fine. It is only 5mm larger though. Speaking of intakes 4'' intake has great gains on the VQ35.

It looks like we are waiting on juicyjake to get that 90mm Maxima TB hooked up..maybe that will be the ticket.

Also the 75mm maxima tb works with no issues, its just a matter of physically getting it on the intake manifold.

OOPS, just reread that post, looks like I misread 09 for 90 Still, a ported 75mm has to be around 80mm, which is a good start!

Don't hold your breath. I have an 09 Maxima throttle body for my own project. There is hardly any additional metal in the area of the blade. You'd be doing good to get 1-2mm additional diameter without compromising the unit.

Also, I managed to score a pigtail for it from my friends at the local Infiniti dealer. It's part of a wiring kit that dealers have. I'm trying to get an orderable part number from them.

True, not much room to bore on these.

Also if anyone needs 09 Max TB pigtails I have plenty, I also offer a Plug and Play TB adapter harness.

I didn't think anyone got the ITB running well? I know SG put them on but it only works on a string and I thought they said they had drive ability issues?

3k on ITB? If you want power slap a turbo on. That price is just crazy unless you have to stay NA.

Maybe before they tuned it properly and got it setup for a wire throttle. Yes it is a lot of money, but if you are as invested as I was and kaz is, why not? He would be able to take advantage of an engine that is built for higher RPM's and probably creep up on the 350-400 mark, the only real difference between sg's build is the wildly aggressive cams they had

Could you imagine a sealed box made on the itb's and a supercharger gabbed onto it

the only thing keeping me from installing mine is i have to weld the maf bung and nitrous bung into the new 3.5" pipe, powdercoat that and get a catch can setup. i mocked it all up and everything fits great. i put some pictures of my setup up on the v35 coupe drivers facebook group a while back, along with a video of the tb plugged in and working. i cant wait to finish it up. ive just been so busy...
