Price
350Z w/ DE $2,382.00 (without core exchange)
$870.00 (with core exchange)

That is WAY too expensive. 09 maxima tb ftw.

Does the op have an update on this?

If it works on the Z it should work on the Max. What are you running into that are issues?

This will be one of the first and most commonly recommended NA mods... if it ever happens. Sitting on a gold mine.

There is an altima running the ls2 tb but they use uprev and can disable to codes if I remember correctly. I think it's in NY.

SG ran the LS2 but said they had to clear a code every start up afaik. It gave a tb code error which turned it into limp mode afaik. I think both SG and the Altima said there were some driveability issues. I asssume at part throttle and or during shifts acting weird. Idle should be easy to fix with a rpm bump to 1k which would be done anyways if you were running agressive cams which i assume would go hand and hand with a large TB and or custom IM or both.

Some Titan guys got it to work on their v8 with no codes but stopped making them and never told anyone how they did it. I assume they just made a custom PC board which outputtted to the ecu the stock signals...I assume they corrected the extra air with an afc or piggyback/stand alone. Surra you probably know more than me but what if you sent the ECU a fixed voltage say at idle you send it 1v constantly. Would that work or would the ecu throw a code? I would hope with the haltech this would make this be possible. Building a lil pc board that outputs 1v is simple enough...

SG proved great gains with the custom carbon intake and ls2 TB. They also proved the restriction of the stock IM gaining like 25whp when they pop'ed the top.

Surra, I found a shop that will make me a log style custom IM to LS2 flange and then a small LS2-2k9 maxima tb flange. I hope to have it made and dyno sometime in the fall. My hope is it creates a venturi effect until we can get the ls2 to work with no codes/driveability issues on the maxima...

edit: Surra you are on the stock injectors? They must be really cloase to maxing out or are they larger on the 2k9 vs the old VQ35DE ours come stock with?

im gonna look into this. there was a guy that posted up that had an 09 maxima tb on an 02 maxima ecu. this swap seems to be much more common and documented by those guys. personally, im much more interested in getting the 87mm maxima tb to work for simplicity's sake than i am the LS2... unless somehow magically there is one that just plugs in and works... i am not really looking to experiment since im daily driving the car.
