From an investment standpoint, modifications do not add any long term value. You're better off dumping your money in a mutual fund as I have yet to see anyone make money from selling their Z. Gas it up, drive it around, and change the oil every so often. Don't bother with anything else if you don't care enough for this platform.

I would like to inquire about something...I did not like the 350Z before I owned it, now I do. I have always wanted to have a boosted car, but my Z is a DD so I cant boost it safely. Now I am not a power hungry person but I would like the car to be quicker, to those who did cams, did you do anything to increase the internal efficiency of the engine?
Reason for asking is that the VTC pulleys are supposed to help gain back low end, so would increasing compression...something else I've been wondering about is the following:
if you take a DE and build it with cams, head work and bolt-ons and get let's say 290 RWHP what would be a reasonable cost?
On the flip side, if you wanted to stay NA could you not take the engine out of a 370Z and put it in the 350Z for about the same cost and have potential for more power?
Sorry if it's a stupid thought, I don't know if its possible or if it's been done.

Is 50 hp noticeable? I doubt I got 50 WHP from my bolt ons, but this should give you a good idea of what bolt one can do for us.

Not going to make this a pissing contest but we have proven 27 to 30 whp with the PPE LTH's. My Z based at 222 and the last time we tuned it was with the cosworth plenum just for S&G and it put down 267 on a mustang dyno. On top of what I claim you can check it out for yourself at least twenty other people will say the same thing about the PPE's. I would imagine now with the change up of plenum I should make a fair amount more but we will have to wait till the car is back out of the body shop.

Yeah thats the thing though, im not looking for top end speed, since its a DD, if anything low end, something that if someone pulls up to me at the light or some young buck thinks their car can run with the 350s then i would like to put them in their place. if taken alot of consideration from what others have been saying on here, the exhaust is the first to go, im thinking borla since i loved the sound from youtube videos i seen, any input is great though??
