Help! Exhaust clogged?
Hey guys I really need help on my exhaust now. Did some research but no one seems to ever have the same problem before.
Bought the car few month back and the previous owner was running a Megan single exit exhaust on it. It was too loud for my taste so I decided to go back to stock exhaust which I got along with the car, previous owner claiming there is nothing wrong with it. While putting back the stock exhaust, my friend gave me a set of the Invidia HFC, which is brand new never fitted but been sitting in the garage for about one years time, so I put them in the car as well. Before the install I visually checked everything and nothing seems wrong about them.
Strange thing is when I start the car after the exhaust change, there's hardly any noise from the exhaust? I checked the videos of stock exhaust on youtube and they are much louder than mine. And I supposed that HFC will actually make the car louder? It's been three days now and I've driven the car for like 100kms so far, didn't notice any power loss nor did I have any CEL coming up. I can harly hear anything from the exhaust when driving. Is this normal with stock exhaust or is anything clogged in the system?

Welcome- if the exhaust was clogged you'd get a buildup of backpressure, loss of power and likely a CEL. The OEM exhaust is quiet and much different than the single outlet exhaust you were running.
Yes I understand it would be much quieter however the car sounds like a brand new Corolla now.. Maybe there's a breakin period for the new cats?

If you're concerned you can place your hand or a lit candle behind the exhaust tip to confirm air coming out. Honestly though the difference between an aftermarket single and og exhaust are worlds apart.
edit-
Also worth noting most "exhaust videos" are taken outside and behind the car. Are you sitting in the driver seat or going behind to listen? Nissan went to some trouble to make the car sound "civilized" including baffles in the intake air box, so overall it is fairly quiet.

I actually checked some youtube video like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vzaYrRn219Q
They all claim they are running stock but appear to be much louder than my car
