Default Kinetix V4 Installed... check engine light???

I Receive my V4 plenum on friday (07/02).. I installed it yesterday (sunday)..

Install was pretty easy, i had no probelms besides the 4 bolts of the throttle body which put up a good fight.

After the installation, as soon as i turned on the car the "check engine soon" light came on. Does anyone have any idea as to why this happened? I havent heard of anybody that has had this problem with the plenum so i am assuming it might have been during the installation that something happened. The questions is, WHAT?? what are the possibilities?

After driving it. I did feel the car pulling a lot harder , i've even put a couple of hundred miles on the car like this and everything seems to be fine.

well if anybody has any ideas, suggestions, guess' or anything it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Oh and i havent reseted the ecu to see if it still comes on after that. I'll be trying that soon.
Also, i put test pipes on the car on thursday. I put them on, went home after a 45 min. drive and didnt drive the car again until after the plenum installation. The light didnt come on but is it possibly for it to come on days after?

just wondering...

I would unhook your battery and then wait some time before you hook it back up. Not sure if this will help but thats what i did and it worked.

Make sure all your hoses are on tight and all the way on as well. the one behind the throttle body is a beotch to get back on

From what I hear, I would take it off and put the stock one back on before it leaves you stranded somewhere. Kenetix is starting to get a bad rep around here.

tighten everything, give it 3-4 days. if its still off, reinstall the plenum. if its still on... go back to cats. if its STILL on.... come back and ask again.

I assume your idle is steady though? go over it real well for cracks just to be sure.

it is definitely from the test pipes. they give a check engine light, since there is no cat. you can buy a black box which simulates the O2 sensors. search this site, it's here somewhere.

i installed the black box for a friend, and the CEL went away.

But I have fixed test pipes with the sensors on and no CEL shown!

Well i reseted the ecu. I disconnected the negative terminal in the battery for about 10min. when i turned the car back on, the "check engine" light wasnt on anymore. i drove around for about 15 min. and the light didnt come on. so far so good but hopefully it'll stay that way.

If it stays this way, i will be going to the track (1/8 ml) on thursday to see what i gained from switching the high flow cats to test pipes and adding the plenum......
