Default Help: should I buy a 350Z now???

Hey, i'm in the market for a car and I like the 350z, I drive a jetta now and it's alright besides for all the problems, I'd like a car with "less" problems. But anyways, I test drove a 350z today and really liked it, the only problem is i'm reading all these things about TIRES and TRANSMISSIONS breaking. If I bought one from a private seller without a warrenty would Nissan still fix these problems if they broke since they are like common problems? And are the chances high of something going wrong with the 350z after I buy it? And how come 350z transmissions keep on failing, is it the way people drive or is it a defect? Thanks, sorry for the questions.

Wait another 2-3 years, save your money and hope NISSAN can iron out some of the problems with the Z.

You can wait - or you can go to the store and buy one of these rocket ships and have fun. I recommend living - and the Z is the way to go.

Actually now is a great time to buy the 350z. I just passed by one of my dealership, and they have 6-8 out in the front.. they are not flying off the dealership, so you can get a great deal on them.. (probably invoice). The new model has no feathering, and tranny is stronger than my 2003 model for sure..

Default I traded my problematic Jetta for a Z almost two years ago.

I have had many less problems than the Jetta had, and is much more fun to drive.

I traded in my GTI with 6000 miles because it had so many problems already. I wouldn't get an 03' since I wouldn't want to go threw the hassle of stuff breaking or tire feathering. But if you go with an 04.5 or an 05 like me I say GO FOR IT. Nissan has ALOT better rep than VW.
