Default Weird sound when giving throtle

I don't know if this is how it is supposed to sound but just want to check, and get some ideas. When I step on the gas (even a little) it kinda sounds like I have a turbo (which i don't), makes this little sucking sound from the hood. Only noticeable with the windows down. any ideas?

You wouldn't happen to have a turbonator would you?

I have the exact same problem on my Z. It's only in the morning when the motor is cold.

I recently had the same problem with my 2006 Base DB. When starting from the house when weather is about 32-36 degrees, I get a howling type noise for the first few miles. When it's warmed up, it seems to go away. I know, why am I driving the Z in that weather, my wife has the SUV that has heated seats. Has anyone had the same problem, or have an answer. I haven't had the time to return it to the dealer yet. 10K miles. SullyZ

Not to be sarcastic, but are you talking about the intake sound? That is normal.

Say when you blow out candles, you make the small hole with your lips. When you breath, your lips are open wider. Same principal with the throttle plate. Diff is air is going in.
Am I too basic or is this what you mean?

^ +1, that's what i was thinking. It happened to me when I got a new intake. Just takes getting used to if that's the only problem.

It's not the intake sound. I've had the car for nearly a year, and have 10K miles on it. It's due to the cold weather.
