Thanks Boomer - actually I brought it in to be fixed in February. They claimed to fix it, but who knows what they did. It did go away for about a week, and now it's back, as bad as it ever was.

I think I'm going to wait until I know people have brought their Z's to a particular dealer who has done this TSB fix and then go to that same dealer (don't want to be the guinea pig).

Intrepid, thanks for your help here. My dealer does not have the newest CD from Nissan yet and want to order the parts for me but they don't have the part numbers. I was trying to read the part number on the pages you scanned but it is not very legible.

I would appreciate if you could reply back here with the part numbers that need to be ordered so that I could forward it to my dealer.

My dealer says they can't see the TSB in their system (they claimed to also have checked the "Live Update" section). They also told me they tried to order the part but this part number does not show up. They're telling me I have to wait a little bit for it to hit their system and their is no one at Nissan they can call about this.

I guess I'll have to be patient.

Sounds like they don't know what they're doing or being lazy. They could call the regional tech center.

Would I be rude to point out that this problem was found on the day the 1st cars were delivered, 8/26/02? And the date of the issue of the TSB is 4/2/03. It was issued over SEVEN 7 MONTHS later!

I'm speechless, except I just noticed the window streak on my passenger window is back today after being gone for 3 months.

No, Boomer, it would NOT be rude of you to point this out. This window grease issue is a perfect example of how PISSING, MOANING, COMPLAINING, and WHINING got results. Now, if many of us would have kept our mouths shut like some people on this forum suggest (i.e. tire wear, paint finish, bouncy ride) this TSB may never have been issued. Thank you to all the Z owners out there who weren't and aren't going to settle for second best! Keep Nissan on its toes! If you're not happy with something don't "deal with it," speak up!

My dealer called me Monday afternoon to let me know he had the parts in..he did the job yesterday and the car came back with no streaking on either window..nothing seemed damaged or out of allignment..they've been very good so far with my service..except for the first time it was in and they washed it after I asked them not to..they haven't done that since..I would have to give them a good grade for service...First Nissan in Simi Valley
