Un lossen? So you'd like to tighten it? Sounds like your problem has solved itself.

In a Nut Shell ----Both Belts have an Idler Pulley...Loosen the nut in the center. Both have 12mm tension bolts @ 6 O-Clock...Loosen them. Reverse on installation

Sorry to have to ressurect this thread, but i need clarification. I need to replace both of my drive belts and when i read the instructions at the top opf this thread, that seems like an awful lot of work to replace belts. Jacking up the car? Is that really necessary?

I thought i should just be able to loosen a nut on a tensioner pulley and remove the old belt and put on a new one. Thats how ive done it on other cars. Why is this one a PITA?

You need to get to the belt tensioners which can only be done from under the car. I don't see how you'd do it without jacking the car or using ramps.

Guess im gonna have to buy ramps now because im not paying the shop to do this job!

Sucks tho-ive never seen a vehicle thats has screws underneath of the freaking tensioner pulley that you have to turn as well, otherwise no ramps would be needed. Thanks Nissan!
