Default Startup Issues After JWT Clutch/Flywheel Install

I was having issues before my JWT Clutch/Flywheel install which made me believe that their was something could be wrong with the starter since my battery died on me. I have a little over 50K miles and bought the car at 17K, so it wasn't too unusual for the battery to die. But the meter still read normal, I couldn't get it to startup without a jump. I've since replaced it with a yellow top optima battery, which fixed that issue. Shortly after I replaced my clutch with the famous chattering JWT combo. On occasion, when I start the car, it would grind very similar to when the car is already running and you go to crank it. When I go to start it again for a second time, it would do the same, usually after the third try, it'll start fine. My buddy told me that it could be that the flywheel was not aligned properly during the install...

I would be very appreciative for anyone's input to what the problem could be. My assumption is:
<O

- Starter<O</O
- JWT Clutch/Flywheel<O</O
- Optima Battery
<O
Thanks</O

who installed your flywheel? The flywheel had to be aligned correctly. There were little holes where you match up when installing the flywheel.

Sounds like the crank angle sensor wasn't positioned properly.

What kind of damage would I be looking at if I don't get this fixed soon?

The sensor will eventually go bad and you'll have to remove the trans again to replace it.

I didn't think that the granny had to come out to replace the crank position sensor. Glad I had only a cam position sensor die on me.
