Default after X miles of driving, slip and VDC light come on?

I dont drive alot, but my new job is a decent distance away. so going to work and coming home from work, at the same distance into the drive in opposite directions, bam, they both light up... and yes, VDC is very much off after that.

is it warning me of something? it is just screwed up? I notice it more on the way home(more awake heh) and it will light up within about 100feet of the same spot every time... its happened 5 times so far, and that would be 5 days in a row this week; doesnt seem like a glitch or anything, its too precise.

The front tires are taller than the rear. VDC “sees” that the rear tires are turning faster than the front or “slipping.”

should I find it odd that it takes so long for it to figure it out though?

if that is what it is, Im ok with that though. this was the sizes instock, and they run great. I will go with a 35 in the back next time though.

The answer is no, and that is because the tires heat after driving awhile. It's likely you were on the threshold, and a minor expansion is what "did you in."

Davidv does a great job here. The charts do not lie.

VDC is more finicky than a women. Nissan does not state VDC tolerances, but they are within a specific range of wheel RPM differential. Too slow and you are OK. Too fast and you get “slip.”

In a worse case scenario VDC will shut down the car.

in my case, it just turns off VDC. both light up so its not a normal "vdc off" but somethign else. it does not limit the power or anything like that though.

I just started having the same problem. I put new rubber on the rear but my fronts were 80%....I noticed the problem an hour after I cleaned the motor...I thought maybe something just got wet...but the problem hasnt gone away....I get the brake light, VDC and Slip on...the brake light goes out but the other 2 stay on....my tires are stock size...maybe there is enough difference in front and rear but I doubt it..going in the shop to start mods in a week so I'll have it checked further.

well I had the problem with VDC, Slip, Brake light coming on.....It was my fault for neglecting my Z.... As my brake pads got thin I needed more fluid...basically my low fluid would slosh around and set off the brake light and the VDC, Slip....filled the fluid...problem solved....and i feel stupid
