Did you check BOTH of the ECM fuses?

Man, I hate these threads that start with one problem and now two others have piled on. You've gotta read 'em all and try to separate what's been asked for each car. Bxca should've started a new thread (particularly since this one has no resolution) and given a bit of history about his model and year, mileage and any mods or clues that might have preceded the starting problems. Here's a few questions:

-Has the car been scanned for codes?
-If so, what are the codes?
-Has he checked voltage of the battery? Batteries tend to go bad after 3-5 years.
-Have the battery connections and grounds been thoroughly inspected and cleaned?

i actually did start a new thread, had a couple people comment but it didn’t really seem to get a lot of attention. Maybe I didn’t give enough information or the way I explained my problem sucked, idk. But the car won’t hook up to the obd scanner, yes I’ve used the scanner on several cars ranging in years. The “service engine soon” light doesn’t even come on when the keys in the “on” position. First thing I did was take the battery to orileys and had them load test it, said it was bad, got a new battery. Yes I’ve thoroughly checked the battery connections and I’ve cleaned the little bit of corrosion that was there.

if it makes it easier I’ll just start a new thread will all the information I can give and just tag you guys in it if that’s cool.

Haven't answered my question... Did you check both of the ECM fuses? There are two. One on the memory circuit (constant power) and one on the run circuit (key on power). If either is blown, the ECM won't power up. Every symptom you've listed (fans on, no DLC power, no SES light) all point to the ECM not powering up. If the fuses are good, check the 2 pins on the ECM harness that relate to those circuits. Could be a broken wire somewhere. This isn't going to be as easy as throwing a part at it. You might have to start tracing wires.

you’re right, my apologies.. been kinda scattered brain. But Yes, I checked the ecm fuse in the driver door kick panel. And checked the ecm relay in the ipdm behind the battery by taking it out and replacing it with the “headlamp high relay” don’t have necessary equipment to check the relay alone, but i was told by someone I should of put the “fog lamp” relay in the ecm slot instead of “headlight high” relay. But i don’t think that’d make a difference. And from all the post and research I completely agree and believe it has something to do with the ecm not communicating. I will look up some ecm harness connector schematics and try that. Thanks

Based on this response, sounds like you've checked one fuse and a relay. There is a second fuse, it's in the IPDM. Fuse #82 for 2003 - 06. Should be fuse #77 in '07+. Might want to double check the fuse number if it's good.

Found the problem! Fuse #77 in the ipdm which is labeled “IGN & ECCS CONT” was blown. Replaced it and it started right up. Thanks again for everyone’s patience and help
