Have you looked on JSC speed? They show the Fidanza flywheel fitting SPECIFICALLY for the VQ35HR.

I have an 07 and I'm at around 10k miles. Occasionally the 2nd and 4th feel a little notchy going in but is nowhere as bad as my previous car.

Flywheel currently being replaced at 11,500 miles.
Tachometer had been bouncing every time I shifted or accelerated . Being replaced under warranty.

From your old post here>>>

Looks like an *OLD* problem...which started when you first got it. I see you drag raced it when this started...there's at least a *clue* to the problem. I haven't ever heard of just the FLYWHEEL being the problem..usually the disc slipping. I think you *may* have damaged it drag racing.

The tach had been bouncing from before I took it to the track. I'm also not the only one that had a bouncing tach.

For sure..that usually indicates a slipping clutch. However, I don't think you'll find the flywheel to be the problem. It's either the PP not holding or the disc. Flywheel problems on this car (HR) a practically non existant. CSC is another reported problem too...but that's another issue and relates to a sticking clutch. If ya got it fixed under warranty...great.

Since they're in there, I'm having them replace the clutch and slave. The clutch isn't slipping. Tech drove the car and monitored the RPM's digitally and confirmed it wasn't a misreading from the gauge cluster or a slipping clutch. The most common remedy to the bouncing tach, on this forum, seemed to be replacing the gauge cluster, which in my case it appears to be working fine.

OK..gauge isn't the problem..so RPMS are really bouncing. That's why my first thought would be the clutch and not the flywheel. I know these are dual mass and rotate slightly to smooth the engagement with the clutch.
