2004 w 25,000 2nd gear grind replaced with a JWT clutch and Flywheel. The stock clutch was warped and burnt badly due to over adjustment to the clutch peddle by a dealer in CT. Shift from 1st or 2nd on a hard shift was nearly impossible without a grind. The car is a totally different beast now.

Getting new tranny this week.
2003 Base - 59,880 miles.
Will post again when I know if it is a 008 or 009.
Dang, are there any 03's that still have an ok tranny?

Yeah. You can see I dont post alot but I do check out the threads to stay up on the problems. I experienced none of the problems others have been having and as the miles went from 30k to 40k to 50k, I thought I might just have a good tranny. Around 57k I first noticed a very small grind. It got progressively worse around 59K.
I think I have seen a couple of others on this thread with 59,900+ miles. Sure am glad it is under warranty.

If it's the first warranty tranny replacement, they have to replace the clutch. So make them do it, if they didn't. At least that's what the service manager told me.

10/25/06 2003 6MT clutch and tranny replaced due to whine and 3/5 gear grinds. replaced with a 009 tranny. only complaint is that the new clutch feel made me almost kick my foot through the firewall it is WAY lighter.. dunno if i like it or not, but i can actually hear my engine and exhaust now!!
