Default Rear hub bearing failure

This happened with only 3,000 miles on car. The dealers says it's unusual. Anyone else have this happen?

hey man, I think I may be dealing with the same thing. when I accelerate, the car moves to the left, but its weird, it kind of seems like the rear is moving relative to the front. Also feel like I'm getting lateral wheel movement over bumps, almost like an old car with bushings that are worn. what are your symptoms?

My car had one of the front bearings go out at 11,000(I think)if you search, it wasn't a comon problem but there were a few. My car is an 06.

63,000 miles and my wheel bearings are fine. Not sure what is and what is not “usual.”

Hard track use, or a shunt on the street can result in accelerated bearing wear. Depending on how your Z has been driven, swapping out either front or rear bearings can be a maintenance item. Since the OP had this happen at 3K, it's most likely to be a manurfacturing defect. Since it's covered by the 3/36 warranty, better to get it fixed now!
