I was doing my 60,000 inspection and I noticed oil on the rear subframe. I followed it up and found that the differential breather hose was leaking oil. I have a 2-way LSD and I beat on the car pretty hard, mostly at drift events. Does anyone have any ideas how to correct this problem? Could I put loops in the hose or a catch tank?
This is a common problem. Hard driving (cornering) leads to higher temps in the diff. I would recommend a Nismo rear cover or if you are really hard core a dedicated oil cooler for the rear end

What fluid are you using in the diff? For heavy racing/drifting use, try Motul 75-140. http://www.forgedperformance.com/sto...cat=280&page=1
Most people are running 75-90 in the diff, but we are finding that the thicker 75-140 oil works wonders with heavy abuse.
Also double check that it's not actually coming from the stub axle side seals. Those easily wear out, and can start spewing some oil all over the place.

Sharif Ive been meaning to call you about this but I know your extremely busy. Ive been pretty busy too but hope to get under the car to take pics this thursday so I know whats leaking exactly. If it is my diiferential should I just replace the bushings? Todd was telling me to go with different gears all together. Don't know much about them and was wondering what you would suggest for my setup.
Yeah. mine has never been even close to that bad. Yes, change right away to the Nismo finned diff cover, which we always use, and some Motul 75-140 gear oil.
Your look doesnt "appear" to be coming from the stub axles seals, but you can check that yourself to confirm. That looks like definate dripping from above.

Looks like your diff cover is cracked.... That bushing/stud is simply for mounting the diff. No fluid should ever come out of there...
