is your car tire noise louder??

if not, I wouldn't worry about it, 15,000 miles before you even noticed it without more tire noise sounds decent.

most people notice a dramatic increase in noise at about 2-3k, so you may not have the same thing

I noticed mine started to feather at 1-2k (by hand), but it hasn't seemed to get much worse than that. I now have 3k miles on it, and the noise doesn't continue to get worse like others have seemed to. I am sort of wait and see mode

1-800-NISSAN-1.

File your complaint immediately--because you have over 12k miles on your car, dealers might try to get out of doing an alignment for you for free. Although, it doesn't seem to be helping my car any. I have the alignment done and only 1k miles later, this feathering crap is back.

I have a feeling that there are many drivers right now that are saying the same sort of thing...like "I'm glad I don't have the feathering" and then a few months later go "Oh crap, you mean that!!!"
That's what confuses people searching for answers for the feathering...inconsistant data...good luck with your troubles, cool picture of you and the car, that's crazy hair man!

I have 9500 miles on my Z and can tell that the noise level is getting higher. I could feel the feathering at around 4000, but couldn't detect any increase in road noise. My Nissan service manager told me there was nothing they could do about the feathering and blew me off. I will push it now since the TSB refers to excessive tire noise and I can now claim that.

Is the road noise louder at different speeds? It seems to be worse at lower speeds for me. I thought my tires might need balancing but I might have the same problem as all of you. I havent check my tires in a while. I have about 10K on the car now.
