everytime i fill up my car up with gas and then park it at home their is a strong gas smell in my garage and also in the cabin of the car. i checked for leaks and cant find any. after i drive the car for a little bit and get the gas down to about 7/8 of a tank or so the gas smell goes away. you guys have any idea what it could be?

To replace the filler hose, the tank has to be removed. To do that, they have to remove the rear end, i.e. wheels, axles, diff, exhaust, etc. If I was you I'd visit the dealer and have a sit-down with the service manager beforehand.

If I recall correctly, it wasn't a TSB for the earlier models, it was a recall, If the car had ever been to a dealer they would have ensured the owner came back with less than an eighth of a tank to get the filler fixed. It didn't matter if the car was out of warranty.
