Default HELP 5TH GEAR Crunch!

I have read into this and appears this happens to a lot of Z's. I have a 05 Touring model with 39,xxx miles. I've had the crunch going into 5th for a while, but now its time to just fix this problem I have. Would just a Flywheel solve this problem? please help me as to what I should get to save help my car, and I'm always down for upgrades so if there is anything else that would help me gain a little bit of power with this problem that would be great.

so you want to fix a tranny/clutch problem by increasing horsepower??? wut
and what do you mean will a flywheel solve this problem? First you need to figure out if it is in fact the flywheel that is causing the problem in the first place.

Driving at highway speeds, 60mph+, press and hold in the clutch peddle and shift between gears. Shift from 4 to 5 to 6 . . . . .and then down from 6 to 5 to 4.

Does it go into each gear smoothly without any grinding noise?

If you have difficulty shifting between gears, or hear a GRINDING noise it means that the synchros inside your tranny are bad. The best solution is to replace your tranny with model CD009. Yes, it took Nissan 9 tries to get this problem solved.

How much does this cost? Well, you might want to replace your pressure plate, clutch disk, throw-out bearing, as well as your tranny. A rough estimate would be $2,000.

$2000 is way low, Nissan replaced my pressure plate, clutch disc and throw out bearing for $1350 for parts and labor. Add the trans and you will be spending alot more $$
