i have a 2007 with 23k miles, Also i have an extended 100k mile warranty. This should be covered under warranty I'm sure. Any one know if they will fix or replace?

 

yes...they should replace the transmission. i had the same exact issue with just a few thousand less miles and they replaced my entire transmission under warranty.

 

OP, my 08 Z had trans, clutch, and flywheel replaced by nissan @ 21,XXX miles. Take her in and have them duplicate the grind. New trans in the mail. Good luck!

Mine still does this , but only when shifting from 6th back to 5th.. without pushing the clutch pedal fully down.

hmm does it happen when you shift into 5th or when you go from 6th to 5th? also, if you going to take it to the dealer make sure you know what kinda conditions it takes to replicate the problem because some stealerships are gay :/

 

Sorry for the late replys all, but yeah dealership fully warrantied the claim, brandnew trans shipped and installed. Even paid for a rental for two weeks... WORST POS EVER THOUGH. i happened to get stuck with a dodge avenger, and with a year that got 15 mpg :/ all in all it was a good experience @ performance nissan in duarte... good peeps.
