My question for owners of the new transmission and clutch pedal assembly is this, if you go all of the way over to the right, can you go into 5th or sixth? I used to go all of the way over and know I was lined up for 5th or 6th, now 5 and 6 are to the left of far right. If I go to the far right I cannot get into 5th or 6th at all. It's like hitting a brick wall. Again I can get into gear if I just move a little left from the far right side.

Is this related to a little adjustment of the bracket under the shift boot that controls the shifter limits?

Thanks,

Stu E.
I just had my tranny replaced and it does this too. My 5th gear does not hug the right wall. Is there a solution to this?

Found the solution and did it myself. Useful thread here: https://my350z.com/forum/exterior-and-interior/154228-how-to-take-of-shift-knob-adjust-shifter-guide-plate.html

My transmission makes a loud popping sound when putting it into firs gear and makes a loud pop when I press in the clutch. Is this normal? I also get a "thud thud thud" sound when I engage first gear that can be felt through the gas pedal and the clutch. The sound continues throughout every rpm range. It also vibrates harshly above 5k rpms...rnough to cause interior panels to buzz loudly. I have 35.6k miles on the car. Should I take it to the dealer. Is it a tranny problem?

Ok. I have had my 03 Track for about 1yr and after purchasing my extended warranty I started having issues with 3rd(horrible), 5th, & 6th grinding. Made me sound like I didn't know how to shift. So I had my cd003 tranny swapped out. Warranty installed cd007 but I requested numerous times before install that I wanted a cd009. Now that I have the cd007 installed and ran about 50 miles, the tranny is really stiff and sort of difficult to shift into 5th. I have almost missed it several times. No hard shifting just patience for 5th, but only 5th. I also noticed right off the bat that my clutch went from felling like stage 2 compression to stage 1. Is this normal or has anyone else experienced this? Experiences with cd007?
