All of this has significantly increased over time. I need help! Any advice would be appreciated.
Try another dealer and if that doesn't work contact Nissan and have a district rep. ride with you.

I’m resurrecting this post.

I just got my tranny (32010-cd008) replaced and they also replaced the clutch pedal assmy (46503-cd011).

I never had a grinding problem, but I did have a whining noise for the first few minutes of driving in cold temps.

As an added bonus I don't seem to get the clatter noise in neutral.

I just got my transmission replaced AGAIN! This is my second replacement and have put 500 miles on it. Knock on wood, so far all the gears engage without any grind. I was thinking on replacing the nissan trans fluid with Royal Purple or Redline. What do you guys think?

I would not use Royal Purple, they are GL5 Fluid. 350Z tranny uses GL4.

Also 350Z tranny fluid is 75-85 and Royal Purple is 75-90. If you are going to change tranny fluid, use Redline 70-80(GL-4).

I had experience with both fluid with my previous 2003 350Z and Royal Purple made my tranny very sticky. When I used Redline, it made shifting little smoother. Its because its little thinner fluid vs 75-85(OEM Nissan 350Z tranny fluid)

Now I have 2004.5 Roadster which I got 3/2004 right before I turned in my 2003 350Z back to Nissan. Now its much better. Its still knochy but its not as bad as my old Z. I had both coupe and roadster for about a month at the same time.

Just for FYI, there is new tranny out which is 009.

Jeff your hardcore, hahaha! You're service is so much more superior than any other nissan dealer I have experienced here in Northern California, that I would actually WANT to drive to socal to have you do my tranny replacement haha! Good man, good man!

I just got my car back with its 3rd Tranny. Original and 2 replacements=3!! Anyway, It's feeling pretty good but they did NOT put the 009 in, They put in another 008 according to my service invoice. I wanted the 009 because I heard that it corrects the problem. I guess in another 10k Miles I'll need another Tranny and I should demand the 009. I just want to be done with this problem so I can MOD my car and not have to worry about a $2500 tranny replacement.

He said something about when they put it in the computer it may be updated or some crap... maybe they'll put in the updated one. Or maybe I'll get lucky and have a tranny that doesn't grind.

Trans is a 5 year or 60K warranty (whichever is hit first). Won't cost anything if it is brought in within that time frame.

Service will need to find something wrong with it first. A grind or whatever. I carry them in stock and it will take a full day. PM me your phone number, I will talk with Tim in Service and he will call you.

you know what sucks, my 03 tranny is so notchy and close to grinding, yet i drive it so gently that i've never forced it to grind...yet, and im nearing 60K miles...with my luck, itll start the grinding after the 60K drivetrain limited warranty mark and i'll be SOL...

I asked the same thing and they gave me the same line and the 009 only being for the 05/06 rev up's. however they are giving me the 008 so I think your service place might be B.S.ing you.

007's and 008's are old inventory. The new "PROPER" number is 009!!! Yes, the parts books show the above (007 and 008), but it will superceed to the new number (009).... unless they have an old unit in stock they are trying to unload.
