Default 1 Qt Oil Every 2.5k Normal?

Hey guys, i drove about 2.5k and my oil level went down substantially. After filling in 1 qt, it's now back to the middle range. I heard somewhere that the factory states that it's normal for oil level to go down after X miles. But is my case normal?

It's a 2007. I drive my car very gently shifting at 2.5k rpm and only redlined like once during the 2.5k miles since the oil change.

I also notice that my garage floor has oil drips too.

I guess it's a combination of oil leak and burning oil

How do i detect a leak? I've been keeping my car on jackstands after doing an oil change with the engine on just waiting there to see if oil drips to the ground but couldn't find any...

My '08 HR/6MT is usually ~1/2qt low by the time its 5K oil change rolls around. Currently ~44K miles, with Mobil 1 5w/30 oil, since ~5K miles from new.

Fix the leak. Else, thats pretty normal. I burn about a 1/2 to 1 quart on a track day, and 1.5 quarts every 3500 miles of normal driving.
