Hello forum I dont start threads ever. But i have search all over. I need to replace my AC compressor. I dont think it would be hard. Just looking for a little in site in this misson. So if anyone out there can give me some info that would be great. Its a 2003 Touring edition. 5AT
It's not hard at all... I just took mine off ... It's just a bracket , belt , and ac line .... Make there is no "free on " spelled wrong , charged b4 u loosen those lines ... Mine was empty so.... I sell u my compressor ...

Make sure you wear gloves and protective eyewear in case there is freon in the system. When servicing one that I thought was empty for sure, I found there was still pressure in the low-port side.
AC compressor torque values: mounting bolt and refrigerant nuts
OK, this is an old thread, looks like not many posting about the AC compressor replacement. We just replaced the compressor on my son's G35, there were a few videos which helped, was a relatively straight-forward job. The new compressor is back in and I have been scouring videos and forum for torque values for both the refrigerant lines on the compressor and the compressor mounting bolts. I don't have the factory service manual. I called the manufacturer that we bought the compressor from and the technician said just "make them tight".
Does anybody have these torque values? It looks like the compressor mounting bolts are M9 from measurement, and the head of the bolt has a dot on it with either a 6 or a 9 depending on which direction is up.
The 3 bolts that hold the compressor to it's mounting bracket should be torqued to 45ft/lb.
The A/C line fasteners at the compressor should be torqued to 10ft/lb (or 120in/lb).
FSM ATC chapter
If you get a copy of the FSM, the chapter you want to look over is labeled "ATC" for "Automatic Air Conditioner." Took me a minute to find it since ATC does not equal AAC.
