Default Seafoam on 350z ... plz need help.

Good day fellow Z members, I bought a pint of seafoam today and wanted to ask, could I use it on my Z by just pouring it down the gas tank? Thank you for your time.

havent you watched manswers? the fastest way for a person to get drunk is to butt chug alcohol. id assume it would be the same for seafoam and cars, same premise

What the??!! Funny LOL actually makes sense but I was looking more for a straight forward answer thank you anyways. Reason why I asked cuz I've seen two ways of using seafoam.

I normally use SeaFoam in my lawnmowers and snowblowers, but I don't know how it could catastrophically harm the Z engine. Go ahead and use it, get back to us with the results.

I will give it a go. Reason why I want to use it is due to the high miles 125xxx and rough low idle.

Yeah, I'd probably try it out myself if I had that many miles. I'd also recommend a long road trip to clear out your Z's "lungs."

Dunno if evryone is being sarcastic or what but yes... you can use it in the tank, oil, and through the brake booster vacuum line to clean the intake etc.. but if u do the vacuum line it has to be done very carefully or it could end badly lol. but yes gas tank and oil is fine.... just read the back of the can

I just did it about a month ago. I pulled the vacccum the connects to the purge valve and throttle body. Disconnect the purge valve selonid end going to the throttle body. I used that end(vaccum hose going to behind throttle body) so while pouring the seafoam it would evenly distribute threw the cylinders. I poured it till the check engine light went on!!( WILL NEED HELPER) LOL shut the car off IMMEDIATELY don't over do it. Let it sit over night. What I was told by some tech is by letting the seafoam sit it softing up the carbon build up in the cycinders. Also ur neighbors might freak out in the morning due to the amount of smoke ur car will produce...use this technique at ur own risk...

Thank you guys so much for your knowledge and the funny answers as well as the on point ones. But yes from what I've read, you can either put it in the gas tank or the vacuum hose. Also read if you do the way from the hoses you have to change your oil right away if not engine goes bye bye? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Overall,Seafoam works great.I've used it in the fuel of my vehicles for many years. It also works prior to changing your oil...put the amount per instructions in your oil.Run the car a few miles and drain the oil.Seafoam basically works by increasing the temperature on surfaces to remove deposits as well as cleaning passages.I've never used it directly
in the intake. But,this method appears to be popular. If moisture in your tank is a problem,
I've found Stabil to work great. But,for all purposes,Seafoam does the trick.

I started using it last year on all of my vehicles and outdoor equipment, but just in the gas tank. I don't feel like taking chances with the oil and intake.

No problems here.

I forgot to mention that I actually add a can of the stuff to a full tank of gas for the Z when I store it over the winter.
