Default Me again, Just want to see if this is right.

So some of you may of seen my last post this week. Were I'm hearing a clicking noise from the rear left tire area. So i took my mechanic and they said it i needed a new axle assembly. Im like........ ... .. . I dont see why i would need to get a whole new axle. So this morning when i went to pick it up i had them show me how they came to that conclusion. Basically the left axle you can move left and right with a little force by hand and the right one doesnt move one bit at all. He said it has something to do with the bearing inside part of it and it wears out and that his is a first for him to see this on any Z, even old Zs pre 350.

So hear comes to my question for you guys to help me with. Do i need to get a whole new assembly or can this be fixed some other way?

Can't they just press the bearing out and replace that rather than replacing the entire axle? The bearing is under $200 if I remember correctly. That solved my sound which was like I was dragging a chain link fence. It was the bearing that disintegrated and the metal was rubbing together. My .02

See i agree and that is what im trying to find out. Im mean the axle is fine it has no stress cracks or torn boots so its like why replace it... If anyone else could shine in that would be great.

O, just a quick question he also said my break pads were low which i new anyways. So i was looking up the hawk and i remember from searching many years ago that the 07 breaks were a tad different if i remember correctly. It says fitment for up to 06.... nothing aboutt he 07 :/

I have the same sound right now, so if I'm reading this right, it's the wheel bearing?
