Default NEED HELP! Oil pressure dips to 0 after hard acceleration.

So I have a 05 350z Enthusiast, we went out for a drive today and after i let the engine warm up to normal operating temp I floored it and went WOT. Now it took off just as it always does but right as i was reaching 60 the engine, and oil light came on and i had no power steering. So i slowed to a stop killed the car and started it up again. It started up just fine and had 30 PSI for the oil and no lights on. My question is what could it be? I checked it for leakes and didnt find anything. The only aftermarket part i have on there is a cold air intake. I was thinking maybe the oil sending unit could be going out but maybe its because i got to close to redlining it. If yall could help me out that would be great!

You lost power steering? Did you lose all of your electronics as well? Gauges, radio, etc? If so, it's probably a power issue. Check to see if a power cable is burned or if the wires are exposed.

No I didnt lose my power to anything else. Just the steering. And the car was still running.

I honestly don't think the low oil pressure/oil light was directly related to the power steering then. Maybe I'm missing something. I would check your belts and fluids and any codes the car may have thrown. Is the check engine light on or flashing?

You might start by checking your oil level. I suspect you might be low on oil. How do you know your power steering went out? I would think you would be accelerating in a straight line and you should be having very little steering input.

After going down the straight I was going to turn around and when I went to do so it was hard as hell to turn.

The light came on and went back off. Its still off and the car drives just fine. I'll prolly be taking it to the dealer Wednesday.

My oil pressure light comes on a lot, but I understand it happens with built motors and TT setups, so I just check my level. Apparently, oil level has nothing to do with the pressure. The pressure may indicate that the wrong oil was used or it is due for an oil change. Here's what I'd do:
1. Check fluid levels (oil and power steering obviously)
2. Change the oil, using the recommended amount and type. Check the color and consistency of the oil coming out.
3. Check belts
4. Check for codes (you can go to the auto stores like Napa, O'Reilly, etc and they will check codes for free)

Once you have the results and feedback on the status of these items, post it up.

Oil level has a lot to do with the pressure. If your oil is too low, you will have no pressure.
