Default Oil Pressure issue WTF?!

So i have 104K miles on my Z.. I have had my eye on my oil pressure gauge since I noticed it was reading high like all the way... I did an oil change seeing if it would make a difference and of course it didn't... While i was under draining the oil I realized the Oil pan has been damaged. not leaking or anything actually like I hit a speed bump and it impacted my oil pan. Im wondering should I replace this or is it just a waste?

Does the needle max out as soon as you start the car and not move?

Its either a faulty oil pressure sensor or the dent in your oil pan has the pick up tube pinched. Take a pic or two of your gauge, for example one at idle and another free revving to like 2-3k

Yes the needle maxes out as soon as the car starts. I just looked under the car and realized the pan itself has a dent. Is this going to effect anything mechanically

So months later i finally get around to removing the oil pan and installing another OEM one. I checked out the pick up tube and nothing looked damaged. After installing the new oil pan I still have a PSI reading of 120 right off the bat. So next oil change if i saved enough money Ill be replacing the sensor at the same time hoping this will resolve the issue.

If this post is still up ill update it and let u know if that solves the problem or not

Pinched or blocked pick-up tube will cause a lower oil pressure reading since the oil is still upstream the oil pump. The sensor is located downstream of oil pump.

From experience with other cars, oil pressure sensor is usually cheap and easy to replace. I'm unsure as to its whereabout in a VQ35, but it's usually easily accessible.
