Default Cylinder compression check

I did my compression check today with my 2003 350z and im amaze that it still have 185 psi in all 6 cylinder. I use mobil 1 full synthetic since the day i got it and i change my oil ever 3k miles with k&n oil filter. Also i use a MAG tool compression gauge and 7 rotation for the check, but her is the question? According to what I've research the minimum psi is 142 and the good once is 180-195 psi, how could this happen with my 13 year old car to still have that much of compression or maby it just the gauge that i use.

Try to replicate the results with someone else--preferably an experienced tech--using a different comp gauge.

Retaining spec compression is related more to the mileage than to the car’s age. My 2003 Z (2003’s are actually 10 years old now, not 13) still has excellent compression.

If your car has not been abused and the oil/lubricant changed on a reasonable schedule, the engine should be OK and have good compression.
