Default Rough idle due to moisture

I have a 2002 automatic with about 110k miles on it. Recently, it has rained and the engine idles at below 1k rpm and very rough and the check engine light has come on solid and blinking sometimes. When i accelerate the roughness goes away. Someone suggested it may be water in the gas tank, but I was wondering if anyone else had an issue like this that they solved. I personally think it might be a misfiring spark plug. Thanks.

The easiest thing to do is put some drygas in the tank, then proceed with your diagnosis if needed.
Has it ever had new plugs?

Yeah, I put new plugs in at 100k, when I got it. It's been about 7 months since then.

You'll have to get the codes read, post them when you do.

Filled it up with a new tank of gas and the rough idling all but went away. Must have flushed out the water in the tank. Still have a check engine light on though. I'll get it checked and report back with the code

A little late.... but i found the code was for a random misfire.

What was the fix? Just filling up the tank?

It might not go away on it's own for a little while, try clearing the code or disconnecting the battery overnight.

Blinking CEL means stop driving, stop the engine.

Most likely you have a bad coilpack.
