My passenger side door wont unlock, I tried to open the door and unlock it at the same time and now it wont unlock the lock sounds like it's moving but only moves about an 8th of the way, now I know a few other people have had the same prob anyone have a fix. I was going to try to remove the inside door handle and lock to see if maybe I could mess with the cable in there to get it to unlock but unsure if that would work or if maybe someone else has had this prob and come up with a fix that doesn't end in me destroying the panel to get the door open. Can't get the door unlocked so I can't open it and as far as I know i can't take off the panel without opening the door. Any help is welcome.

Fixed Without Breaking

I had the same problem, my door wouldn’t open from the outside hand or inside. When I’d press the unlock button the little switch would only go about halfway but I could hear the motor trying. On the back most part of the door you need to pry open the weather stripping enough so you can see a little blue piece that has a metal rod coming out of it. If you can’t find it look in the other working door, when you pull the handle it should move up and down. I used an AirShim to get enough space. You have to pull that blue thing as far up as it can go, I used a flexible claw grabber but a hook of some kind could also work. This will allow you to unlock it and then open it from the inside and you will most likely need to buy a new exterior handle for the door
