Hello guys , my 2003 350Z is stored I discovered when I turned the vehicle off, key out the radio stays on , I have to press power off, this radio has been installed for over a year aftermarket head unit JVC , I ordered a Ignition switch hoping this is the issue , open for suggestions thanks

 

If it's an aftermarket headunit that's staying on, it's a problem with the install. I'd focus on that, rather than the ignition switch. Who did the install?

 

The power wire (probably a red wire) on your H/U is connected to a continuous power wire (probably a yellow wire) and not a switchable IGN wire. Your H/U is drawing power even when the ignition id OFF.

The fix is connecting your H/U power wire to a switchable IGN wire. That is an easy fix. You do not need a new ignition switch.
