Default 03 350z wont accelerate past 8mph

Hi all, i have a 2003 Enthusiast Trim 350z automatic.
Today, I was returning from lunch, hanging out in my car after eating a lot of food. The A/C was on and all of a sudden the car sounded a little louder, and I look at the dashboard to find my SES light, slip light, and TCS Off light were all illuminated. I was in park, and I tried to rev my car and found it wont go over 2,000 rpm. I tried to drive it and realised it wouldn't upshift or go past first gesr or 2000 rpm. It was like I was driving with just my foot off the brake. I have researched what I could and have come up with possible solutions:

Replace camshaft sensor(s),
Replace Throttle Position Sensor,
Something with the actual throttle body

I am going to use an OBD2 reader to check any codes that show up.

Anyone know anything?

Sounds like classic "limp home mode". As you've mentioned, pull the codes before you do anything else.

Default Update

So I checked the codes, and about 3 popped up.
P0605 and P0183 and P0463

I tried resetting the ECU, but the problem came back after a minute of driving. My gas indicator just barely hit E, but I know there is at least 8 more gallons. I filled $20 but the has meter didnt move any, which is really weird! I recently replaced the fuel pump, but that was a couple weeks ago. I'm going to attempt to put in the original, despite it not accurately reading my gas (only reason I swapped).

Hoping I dont have to change out ECU.

I still want to try cleaning the MAF sensor.

P0605 NISSAN Possible Causes
  • Engine Control Module (ECM) may be faulty
  • ECM harness power supply circuit is open or shorted
  • ECM harness ground circuit is open or shorted

Yes, I know what the codes mean. I got two codes for fuel temperature sensor and fuel level sensor. I recently replaced my fuel pump 2 weeks ago, but these problems are barely starting. I've already cleaned the MAF sensor, now I'm going to try to put the old fuel pump assembly back in (Only issue with it was the fuel gauge wasn't reading correct levels.).

Will attempt to swap the pumps.

You also suggested a bad cat would cause the issue, but you obviously have no expertise when it comes to diagnosing the main problem. Take it to the Nissan dealer

Default Solved for my situation

I obviously said I was suggested that it was a bad cat. You obviously have no expertise in reading.

Solution: I swapped the fuel pump for the original, and the issue was fixed. I'm guessing limp mode was activated to keep the car safe. I bought a fuel pump off carparts.com for real cheap: first mistake.

PS: if you're going to be an a**, dont even comment. Keep pushing. That'll be more helpful. Thanks all!!

TL;DR, I replaced the fuel pump with a cheap one from carparts.com and after 2 weeks it caused limp mode.
