Has anyone heard anything good from Royal Purple? I ran it on my 300zx a couple years back but cant really remember how it was. Also, anyone have any tips on getting an accurate reading on these dipsticks? Im so frustrated lol. I read it first thing in the morning and it was half in between L and H so i topped it off bc i had like less than half a quart. Now it reads like the very top of dipstick lol

RP was always overpriced compared to M1 If you can find it cheaper than it will do just fine.

The Z is a PITA to get a good reading on due to the way Nissan's brilliant engineers designed this dipstick and it's location. I'd wait few hours until the oil has settled. When you add oil I believe it gets onto the stick which is now useless. I usually add oil with it removed though it still gives bad readings.

Once its settled lay it on a flat piece of papertowel in your hand. Fold the towel over onto it and slowly lift without moving the towel or stick. Line up the oil mark on the towel with the stick to get a basic reading.

Make sure car hasn't been started for a couple minutes. Pull stick, wipe with rag. Put in all the way, pull out and check

I have never had this issue and haven't experienced anything different in the way my Z runs. Its also taking a while to fully drain. Its been almost 10 mins and still keeps slowly draining.

my nismo has this foam after I shut off the engine after running. Did your foaming ever go away? This would really help me out im petrified

I sold my Z over a year ago but I just ended up replacing the oil with Mobil 1 Synthetic and oil filter. Didn't see anymore foam after that so that gave me some peace of mind. I would recommend the same to yours.
