Default Rattling Snake Pipe

Hey guys, Blake Break here!
Everything on my car breaks.
Anyways, I've been hearing a rattling coming from my exhaust when I'm idling. Not the mounts/ hangers. It's on the passenger side.
I crawled under to find anything loose... nothing. Everything's tight and right.
What wasn't so right was when I beat on the cat, i would hear the rattle. Not sure if it's the cat or somewhere upstream. Maybe a squirrel got stuck in there?
Thanks in advance!

That depends on your emissions status. 2 reasons -
if you need emissions for your tag, a CEL will automatically fail you. Also a visual inspection for Cats is done by most inspectors, removal is also a fail. Look into Berk hi flows if you need to pass emissions. Or deal with the noise.

Good thing I don't need to worry about emissions 👌

Factory. Sitting as it is, the only thing not factory is the radiator, gallery gasket, timing chain/components, under shroud, and rotors.

Yeah I'm only 26! But I'm taking my time with the car. Mainly due to the wife and 2 kids.
But i wouldn't go all out with replacing the cats because eventually I'll be replacing the exhaust.

a free fix, if the rattling gets to you, is to take out the cats and bust out the honeycomb....

berk high flows are nice, if you dont want to have to tune

a decent budget setup is motordyne art pipes and invidia gemini ~$1500 if you do labor yourself (my old car with this setup)

damn, i cant believe that was 6 years ago
